Everything was moving along smoothly. After our honeymoon, my husband and I returned to our respective activities and life in California.
My project, Caponatina Lab, is continuing to grow, and now that the pandemic has finally subsided, everything is taking shape more than ever. My clients and new requests are often dedicated to celebrating important occasions or making family or friend gatherings a memorable and special moment.
The big news is that, since September, business events have resumed. Making networking moments more enjoyable with delicious food and attention to detail in true Italian style excites me.
We hadn't planned on making any major changes... but sometimes things happen at just the right moment.
My husband and I received the news that our rental contract for the house we've lived in for the past two years in Menlo Park is coming to an end. It was a sudden announcement, but not entirely unpredictable.
So, my husband and I started looking for a new home to continue our adventure in California.
I believe that sometimes things happen for a reason. For quite some time, both my husband and I have felt the need for more green space around us.
For years, we have enjoyed walking and cycling in the areas of Portola Valley and Woodside, where we've always dreamed of having a home. The search was challenging, especially given the tight timeline, but we eventually found a truly special place that captured our attention.
It's a house on the edge of a protected forest, surrounded by greenery and space where we can establish a small family farm—our little dream is coming true. Even though the property requires a lot of work and big changes can be daunting, I'm thrilled to embark on this new adventure.
The idea of having a garden, some fruit trees, and a few farm animals opens the door to the style of cooking I love the most: seasonal, genuine, natural, and sustainable.
I'm grateful for this big change, and 2022 is definitely a year I'll remember for a long time.
Ready for the 2023!!
